Holy Family SNS Irish Haka
This Haka involves the 600 children, teachers, lollipop lady etc from the 3rd to 6th classes in our school. This was filmed at Swords Castle and at the school. Swords Castle was the location where the body of Brian Boru was waked on the night after his death at the Battle of Clontarf in 1014 (1000 years ago). We thought this was a very suitable venue for our Haka on the eve of the impending Battle of the Stade De France, where Ireland, with our modern day Brian Boru (Brian O'Driscoll) was playing his last game for Ireland. In our Haka we banish the French and win the 6 Nations!
The children practised a lot for the competition, it was great fun and took a lot of work! Well done to everyone involved! Click on the link below to see our entry on youtube!
