On Friday, the 27th of January, the Garda Band came to visit our school. They played lots of songs and all the teachers had to dance to ‘Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes’. Songs included television theme-tunes (The Flintstones, The Simpsons, Pink Panther etc), Popular Chart Songs (Moves Like Jagger, Michael Buble) and many more.
Instruments ranged from the smallest instrument, the flute, to the largest instrument, the tuba. Some of the players demonstrated their instruments and told us a bit about them. When the band had finished playing, Mr O’Keeffe gave everyone no homework on Monday! Thanks to Ms. Keely for organising it.
