Holy Family SNS retain unbeaten start to the season in league and cup competition
Holy Family SNS continued their unbeaten run so far this season with a terrific 4-0 league away victory over local derby rivals St Cronans SNS on Wednesday 11th. Goals by Val (Mayowa) Adedokun (2), Michael Harris and a terrific free kick by Evan Gilroy saw us completely outplay St. Cronans and but for the woodwork and some very near misses the score could quite easily been doubled in what was the teams best performance of the season to date.
We currently lie top of the league following away wins against Lusk NS and St Cronans and have qualified for the Dublin FAIS Senior Cup quarter final vs Scoil Mhuire, Marino on Tuesday April 21st 2015 at the Marino Institute for Education @ 3.00pm.
To date the team have beaten Rush NS 4-1 at home, St. Pats Drumcondra 4-1 away, Lusk NS 2-0 away and St. Cronans 4-0 away, playing excellent football and are well placed to progress in both competitions.
All the squad & indeed the entire school would like to wish Val all the best next week when he spends three days on trial with English Premiership Club , Chelsea. We know what a talent Val is and hope all goes well for him in what is a terrific sporting honour for a young man with an excellent sporting talent but even more importantly an excellent attitude and very pleasant personality. Well done Val, and all the best at Chelsea.
